How Can You Revive a Real Estate License in the Philippines?

A friend of mine has an expired or inactive real estate broker's license in the Philippines. I think it was issued by the DTI.

How can he revive or reactivate it?

Thank you Mike.

This is interesting, hope you won't mind my joining in.

Q. Does anyone know if a Phil. broker's license can still be renewed if it expired in Dec. 1991 ?

Thanks.

Answers to your question remains to be seen pending result of the IRR committee discussion. Since your license was caught inactive at the passage of the law just last July 30, 2009, and there is no CEP to enroll at which is a requirement for renewal, the IRR committee result will clear this all. We have lots of licensed realtors in your category. Let's pray for the best for now.

Hello!

Thank you very much for your response, but I'm sorry if I ask another thing, what is an IRR committee? and what is a CEP to enroll? What will be the status of the licensor having this conditions?

IRR stands for Implementing Rules and Regulations which will clear all questions about the RESA (Real Estate Service Act) Law once they are assimilated to the general rules. CEP stands for Continuing Education Program units which, as licensees, we know is a requirement every three years for all of us to take for DTI to renew our licenses.

Licensees with valid of updated license in 2008 until July 30, 2009, date of RESA implementation (as indicated in the recent joint pronouncement of DTI and PRC as shown above by Mike), are considered active by PRC. Hence, those without valid licenses at the dates indicated are now awaiting IRR result.

If you have an email, will email to you the RESA Law for your study and guidance.
